iOS Plexamp refuses to connect to player ("HTTP status -7")

I have a plex player running on a Raspberry Pi. Remote controlling it via the Plex app on my phone works perfectly. However when using Plexamp on my iPhone, it will discover it, and allow me to choose it, but then if I try to play a song it gets stuck on a progress indicator for a while before eventually failing.

The log is full of messages like: “Mar 17, 2021 16:37:20.086 [Javascript] INFO - Error loading: https://long-id.plex.direct:12050/playlists/all?type=15&playlistType=audio&includeFields=thumbBlurHash&X-Plex-Device-Name=%foobar: HTTP status -7”

Anyone know what could be wrong?

Bump?

I guess there isn’t any support for Plex?

The macOS version of Plexamp has the same issue. With Plexamp.app and Plex.app running side by side on the same machine, Plexamp can’t connect to my player, while Plex.app connects and plays through it fine.

I’d really like to get this working, Plexamp is a nice app when it works. And Plex.app is an annoying app to play music with even when it works.

Bump…
