Ios quality settings don't carry over to chromecast

I have an ios iphone. I frequently link it to my chromecast device plugged to my TV. I used to be able to change the playback quality codec on the fly for whatever I was casting.

Now I cannot do this with the new update. Before casting, I went into my playback settings and limited it to 720p quality. Then I start playing a movie and then I cast it to the tv. The quality settings are not carrying over. I should not have to go back and forth in various layers of menu options just to change stuff that I used to be able to change on the fly.

This is absolutely miserable. Can’t even do watch together anymore either. This is god-awful.

Same here. Why do the app settings not carry over to what is being cast???

Same. Can’t stream to chomecast because settings don convert. Server settings don’t even transfer( internet limit is ignored)
