Also trying to pin a movie library “recently added” section to home screen, at least if you have more than on movie library, completely crashes the app. Lots of bugs in the 7.1 release.
Can you share some more details on your exact setup (iOS version, PMS versions)?
I’m on the same Plex for iOS version and can not reproduce this behavior – works as expected for me (iOS 13.5.1 with Plex for iOS 7.1 and PMS 1.19.4)
MacOS 10.15.5
Plex server Version 1.9.7.4460
iPhone iOS 13.5 iPad iOS 13.4.1
Plex for iOS 7.1
In the Plex app open my server, select Library, and when I select Folder View, the app crashes. Grid and List views work fine, but Folder view fails.
This is repeatable on both the iPhone and iPad both running Plex for iOS 7.1
That’s an extremely an old server. Any reason not updating?
Despite the server being set to “Auto update”, it doesn’t. I had to completely uninstall the Plex Server (using Clean My Mac to remove all of its parts), then reboot the Mac, then install the newest server from the Plex website. For some reason, the old version persisted on my machine, no matter what removal method or upgrade method I tried.
It looks as though the newest versions of the iOS app are not backwards compatible with the older servers.
