Any thoughts on using Plex as an IP cam live streamer?
I know there are other apps, but I'd love to have just one media app (and obviously fir it to be Plex)

I’d really love to see this too,
Because my plex is setup to accessible anywhere in the world by me, it makes sense to route the Web camera security through it.
If I get a call from my house alarm it would be nice to see if there is an intruder (and he hasn’t already unplugged the plex server)
+1 I would like to see this as well. In an ideal world you would be able to configure multiple cameras in a grid.
Use tvheadend and the tvheadend plugin for plex
+ 1 I would also like to be able to view my houses security cameras through plex.
bad idea until it's all encrypted over the wire
+1
Would like to see IP camera support
This would be great - maybe implement systems like mydlink - to simply just connect that account to plex.. maybe there's a mutual benefit to this.. Hell I might even pay for plex pass if this was made possible.
+1 but I would love to add recording of the security feed
One person here with $100.00 for a channel interface to the Blue Iris Camera Server Application (http streaming). Of course a channel that supported 100’s of IP and web based cameras would suffice as well, but why not let the Camera App folks deal with those headaches and just give us an interface to the Blue Iris Camera Server?
