I’m having the same error except with the iphone & it happened after a simple restart of the phone. I am also trying to log in with gmail. However, I’ve tried also to logging in with simply a username & password, to no avail. Please help also!
UPDATE: I was able to fix this, @cowantom - maybe this will help you too.
From a pc, in my plex account settings, I made a “username” and reset my password (bc I didn’t know if it was independent from my gmail or not but I made a brand new password, different from gmail).
Then I used those credentials to sign in my mobile device instead of the gmail.
Side Note: Previous to this, I also did these things, but I dont think they contributed to the final solution although you may try these as well:
I removed the iphone from my authorized devices (also located in the plex settings from a pc)
I deleted the app from my phone, then reinstalled it.
After all that did not work, I then created those credentials in plex settings and logged in via email instead of via gmail. (I also logged in with the gmail address bc my password manager auto-filled the email instead of the ‘username’ but either case, it worked.
