Looks like after reading alsun2001’s post on Nvidia that they have reproduced the issue and promise a fix in a future update. Fingers crossed!!!
So what is the status of this issue?
I have the NVIDIA Shield 2019 Pro with Plex Media Server Version 1.21.1.3830 and after a database corruption had to rebuild all my libraries. I notice my old.MOV files thumbnails are all black in my home movie collections. I have to reanalyze each movie before the thumbnail gets generated properly?
Also for some reason the movies only show me a black screen (with audio) on my WIndows 10 machine (through the web interface) while they play properly through the Shield. Shouldn’t they be transcoded if Windows 10 doesn’t support the file type?
RESOLVED: Nvidia released an update 8.2.2 to their Nvidia Shield Pro Experience which has fixed this issue for me. Special thanks to everyone for their help and contributions on this thread. Especially alsun2001 who first noted Nvidia was working on the update. Kudos to the whole gang.
