Certain Videos Won't Play on Android Devices - Play via AppleTV, iMac App & Web App

Attached Logs downloaded after restarting Nvidia Shield, and then:

1. started an episode of a TV show that has been failing to load - of course this time started. Murphy’s Law.
2. started a movie that has been failing to load. Circle appears for a few minutes. Then first frame of movie shown frozen for a min or two, then circle reappears. Played a few seconds then frozen again. This is actually better than I’ve had in the past - to date over the course of months whenever tried simply never went beyond loading circle on black screen. Unwatchable though naturally.

While seemingly magically resolved for the TV show, it wouldn’t play on Nvidia Shield or Amazon Fire Cube all week, but always started immediately on Apple TV.

Many movies now all of a sudden like the one tested, don’t play - either never loading or stopping/starting, but also play just fine on the Apple TV, iMac App, and Web App.

Server is run by Nvidia Shield, with ethernet connection to Synology NAS Drives. All on the same network. Crazy to me that the Nvidia Shield can’t play it but Apple TV can.

This issue started occurring within the past few months of many movie files and now even TV files not playing despite being no larger than other movies/shows in my collection of similar type and size and Mbps which all play fine.

Have gone through and found 5 more movies that fall into the same issue.

I moved these to a new folder. Scanned Plex to remove them from my library. Added the new folder of ‘problem files’. Scanned to add them.

Rebooted Nvidia Shield.

Attempted to start all 6 movies in turn.

Attached is the logs downloaded after.

Then played all 6 on Apple TV. I did notice it is not as smooth as I thought - videos start straight away however the motion is jittery. This might just be Apple TV in general - I’ve never used it for Plex. Downloaded logs again in case these playing albeit not quite smoothly enough might help.

Hopefully someone from Plex reviewing the logs can see some kind of common characteristic shared by all 6 files that will lead to an update to the Android Apps. Confirm these same 6 files will not play via Amazon Fire Cube either.
