iPhone remote for Plex HTPC

So I’ve just downloaded the player and connected my iPhone to cast but the old PMP brought up a d pad on the iPhone app to navigate around the app instead of just casting.

Is there a way of doing this? much prefer to have the browsing experience in the actual app

IIRC the old style remote has been removed quite some time ago (must have been in 2020).
That should have been the same no matter if you were casting/flinging to PMP or another client.
