Use iPad as remote, controlling Plex on Mac Mini...how?

I’d like to be able to see my Plex library on the iPad, select an item, and have it play on the Mac Mini in our living room, because just using a touchpad from across the room, the menu is too small for me to see. I have Plex installed for IOS on the iPad, and Plex Media Player installed on the Mac Mini…which I think opens up the player in a web browser. Appreciate your help!

##Fling/Cast Video

At any time during audio playback, a user can tap on the Players button to select another Plex app, Google Cast or AirPlay device to which you’d like to fling the content.

The Plex Media Player is showing the classic Plex Web user interface while it’s in window mode. Once you tell it to display in fullscreen mode, you should get a more adequate user interface for your TV.

Thanks…it’s still going to be too small for me from across the room. Is there any sort of remote control app or method for the iPad. The Fling/Cast thing looks interesting…I visited the link, but I’m not clear what Fling/Cast is. Would that be a separate app I’d install on the iPad?

this refers to a button in the Plex app for iOS (or other clients).
when you’re in pre-play screen you should see it on the top of the page, next to the menu button (.

When you click on it, it’ll show all the devices on which you can play the video.

You can look at the section “Controlling Another Plex App” in the link I had shared earlier!

It’s like Apple’s Airplay, except it also allows you to stream your content to non-Apple devices.

edit: removed a pic that didn’t help the explanation + added a reference to the “Controlling Another Plex App” section

Yes, it is a separate app that is available from the Apple App store.
You don’t need to buy it or pay for the Plex Pass, if all you do is using it as a remote control for other Plex clients.
