I have a fairly old model HDHomeRun and a few years ago was using other “DVR” software to make OTA recordings. I’m using Plex now…
I see a process running on my Mac (Mac Studio/macOS Ventura) called “hdhomerun_record” and a user “_HDHomeRun” and I was wondering if the Plex Live TV & DVR actually use this process or if it is a remnant of my previous DVR setup.
I ask because that hdhomerun_record process seems to performing a moderate amount of network access in the background along with a low level of CPU use. If it’s not needed by Plex, I’d just as soon remove that process.
So, does Plex use “hdhomerun_record”?
