Is it posible to make a library private?

is it posible to make a folder / library private or password protected , to not be able to join into that part without to enter some security codes ?

The problem that we all using the same Android Box to watch on TV in living room , and its connected to the plex server im hosting from my Work room where im with the pc.

Now childrens haves acess to everything i share or add to my lex server , and i dont see the solution for example to creat a movie folder library and make it private where the cartoons and animated movies for childrens can stay opet for all.

create a kids home account share with it the library’s you want them to have
create a adult account with pin code problem solved

The administrator for a Plex Home has the ability to create Managed Users within that home. These are often used by parents to create an account for their children, for instance.

But requires a plex pass to do so. There is no real solution if you use the same account as your kids. Meaning, if you don’t mind you could create a new “kid” account and use that account on your android box. but that would limit YOU to the kids content too… Only if your kids had their own box…then you have your android box with your account and they have their box with their account.

Ok ive created a second account , and im tryed to sign out of the plex app on the android box , but when i link it back its login to the same account over and over again , i thought i will not have two account there where i can chose wich one i use when starting the app on the android box , but it seems im doing something wrong.

Then i cleared the chage from the app completly , and signed on pc into the new account , after starting the plex app on android box i got again the code to enter , so ive done to link it , but now i dont have the first account and its login automatically to the second one i chose or created for the childrens…

Am i doing something wrong ?

Even when i sign out of this second account , i dont see a way to login back to my first account with wich im hosting the server too and the only way was to login to that account again in pc browser , to clear the chage from the app in android box and to link it back with the code , also i dont see any option like fast user swich on the app on android box …

Ok so you’ve messed up. Its sounds like you have created to user accounts on the plex site rather than on the server as a Plex pass allows. In order to do it you need one, or another Plex Server. Name One Kids Server the other Adult. However i Strongly advise getting a plex pass. It makes life so much easier in managing media from prying little eyes.

This is all and well but the OP will need to purchase a plex pass and there is no guarantee that the kids can’t access the private libraries(PIN or not).
I suggest that the OP just make a kid account and link that account to the “kids android box”

I would go here and de-authorize your android box(using your login, then sign out) then here and link it to your kids newly created account(using your kids account login).

lets clarify some things here…

there are plex accounts, which log into the plex web site/forums, and to which your server is linked to.

Your server can only be linked to 1 account. This is the server admin account. You can have any number of servers. But each server can only have 1 admin. (IE you can admin 10 servers, but you cannot admin someone elses server)

On your SERVER, you can add friends or family accounts to share your content. These will need to have their OWN plex accounts. Each user has their own email and they create their individual plex accounts. Those emails are then invited to your server.

On your SERVER with a plex pass, you can create a HOME user account. HOME accounts can use either the above individual plex accounts, or can share the server admin account.

HOME users are all displayed on the clients to pick from (similar to how netflix profiles are used).

Since plex does not know who is who on a family account, any user can pick any profile. Therefore any ‘adult’ accounts should have a PIN code created to keep the kids out.

you can manage regular plex USERS @ https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/users/friends (plex pass NOT required)

You can manage HOME users @ https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/users/home (plex pass required)
