Is it possible to add a single photo to a library instead of the entire folder? Would this involve creating an “Album” of selected images throughout an entire plex collection?
For example, I create a new Library in Plex. I have a folder of 20 images on my HD. In Plex the only option is to select the entire folder. How would I select say, 5 of there images in that folder to be imported, if that makes any sense?
have those 5 files in a /photos/plex folder and add this folder to the library as the top folder. i do this when i want to separate out watching tv series from the collection.
in essence you would have to set a different master folder for the plex library that you only want to have in plex.
new library would then contain each folder added to it.
plex will see any photo’s within the path you add to the library.
if you only want certain photo’s added to plex, then you must ensure that you only add those pictures to that path.
you cannot have a folder full of images, and add only certain ones.
its everything in the folder, or none.
OK, thanks. My goal is to be able to create a Plex Library/Folder that i could then send an invite to share just that container of images. Not my entire Library.
I started playing around with adding images to an Album. Is there a way to be able to send an invite out, and only have that Album accessible to invitee?
I see that by clicking the stacked 3 dots in the thumbnail I can add what i want to an Album. Is there a way to share just an Album?
No. There isn’t a way to restrict photos. Maybe in the future, but for now, it’s all or nothing.
