Is it possible to customize the home screen on the Windows player?

For example, if I don’t want to see the “Continue Watching” section, or “Plex Picks”, can I somehow remove these sections from my home screen or am I stuck with a home screen that cannot be customized?

Based on the current model, the server configuration controls which hubs etc. are available for the home page. You can only control the hubs of which libraries will show up by pinning / unpinning them (only hubs of pinned libraries will show on the home page).

This is with the exception of Continue Watching which is always showing.

Yes, this is not a popular “feature” from what I’ve seen.

On top of it, it orders the hubs in the order they appear in the sidebar. For example, I like having “live TV and DVR” at the top of my sidebar. What that does though is make it so all that crap I don’t want to see like “what’s on now” is at the top of my working area because it’s “connected” to the Live TV sidebar item. Move that to the bottom of the list it will move all the associated hubs with it, but that’s NOT what I want.

It sucks.

I figured it out. It’s actually a lot more customizable than I had thought, but getting there is a bit unintuitive.

Open Settings > Manage > Libraries

For each library select Manage Recommendations. Here you will find a wealth of options including what gets displayed on the home screen.

So far the only thing that I have not figured out how to customize is the display of the recent playlists other than to remove it from the home list by unpinning it from the list on the left edge of the screen.

Did you notice there is no option to customize “Live TV & DVR”? That’s one of my two biggest peeves. I can’t get rid of the crap that necessarily appears when that is on my sidebar. I don’t want “Recent Channels” or “Shows on Now” to appear as a hub on my home screen, but I DO want to see the “Live TV & DVR” option in my sidebar. Ideally I’d like it at the top of the list but if I do that it spews that junk I don’t want at me and I have to scroll past it to get to the stuff I do want. If there’s a way to get rid of that I haven’t found it!

The other thing I want to see is to unlink the order of the sidebar with the order of the hubs. If you let Plex manage that it puts the associated hubs in the same order as the sidebar. I’d like to be able to move them independently.
