Is it possible to output mono audio?

The left channel on my receiver has stopped working. I normally output to the left, right, and center channels. I’d be fine with using one channel if I knew the source audio output was mono. My raspberry pi connects to the TV, then I send audio output to my receiver through digital coax. I looked through preferences but didn’t find an option for mono. Is it possible to force mono output in a config file or something? My TV speakers rattle so I am just looking for a temporary fix until I can get a new receiver. Thanks in advance!

I don’t have a multi speaker sound system to test it on, but you could see what ‘Stereo Upmix’ setting gives you in Preferences>Gear>Audio Output. (Setting is called ‘Output Stereo to all speakers’ in older versions of Rasplex/OpenPHT)

I’d open a feature request on Github for the mono support. Kind of a rare situation now days, but if it’s an easy add, maybe the team will add it. It might be as easy as adding a channel definition of 1.0.

Thank you for your reply. I tested that setting with a speaker test video and it doesn’t seem to work. If nobody else has any recommendations I will probably just get one of these and use an old receiver I have stored away until I can get with the times and buy an HDMI receiver.

Have researched this and there is no way, either in Preferences or modifying files to produce mono audio, sorry.
