We’ve not been getting beta releases for the Nvidia Shield recently.
Has it been dropped as a beta platform?

Has it been dropped as a beta platform?
Was looking to post the same, but ofcourse searched first before creating duplicate threads
I am as a plexpass user subscribed to the beta update channel in my server config and enrolled in the beta program on google play store, but currently only on version 1.9.5.4339.
I should be able to upgrade to 1.9.7.4441 no ?
I’m having major crashes and issues on a daily basis, would like to upgrade asap
Please advise if we need to do other steps ?
PS: Do we need to fill in the “Plex for Android & Android TV - Beta Tester Candidate Registration” form ?
regards
Svns
And once more … why are PMS releases not being made available for the Shield?

Because it doesn’t have the same release cycle…
Really? Where did you get that idea?

Releases never hit at the same time since the original release ergo it must have.
Turns out, based in info from Plex employees that it’s not by design.
Due to the delays inherent in publishing to the Google Play store, the PMS team decided to wait a day or two after each PMS Beta release to make sure it’s stable and doesn’t require any further urgent fix before pushing it to the Play store. This means that if there are a few bad PMS beta releases in a row, there can be a considerable delay before a beta release gets published. On the other hand, if it’s good, it should appear a few days after general Beta release.
The Plex client for Android team don’t follow the same principle, and are quite happy to pump out frequent Play store releases (Beta and mainstream). Why the difference? Who knows.
