Is OpenPHT dead

With the audio lag bug still very much present and no updates for a very long time, is OpenPHT dead? It sure seems that way.

If it is dead, what’s everyone using to replace it with on embedded devices like RPi’s and ODroid C2’s?

Thanks!

Will these work on Raspbian ?

Yes i would highly recommend using the KodiPlexConnect plugin as it is 100% better the OpenPHT.

Even though 1.8 is not being updated, I have found it to be an amazing player. But I’m willing to consider another player.

Can you list some of the ways that KoidPlexConnect is better?

Does KodiPlexConnect offers remote streaming, meaning outside of my local network?

I don’t think you can stream to KodiPlexConnect from the apps, so it’s not much use to me… I’m also not very impressed with the Plex Windows app so I’m sticking with the old OpenPHT…

Kodi is good if you like to reprogram everything just to try and watch a video. Kodi’s interface, how to add libraries, etc., is just a mess.
