Is Plex automatically creating SRT files

Hello,

It may not be plex but I noticed when I get tv shows it there are SRT files in that folder. Is that a feature of plex or are they coming from somewhere else?

I doubt it’s Plex.

Are you using Radarr/Sonarr or similar?

I can’t remember where the setting is. (I’m at work)

But I know there is one in both arr apps that will download them.

I admit while it may be the first option on the first tab, I’ve looked at sonarr 3 times and can’t figure out where I might have turned on SRT if it is sonarr. It does seem to be TV shows only. About the only 3 things I use for TV shows are Plex, Sonarr and Filebot.

I just had a look
Try
Settings >
Media Management (also make sure show advanced is enabled)

Then scroll down to “Import Extra Files”

If it isn’t enabled or doesn’t mention srt then it can be assumed that Sonarr isn’t the culprit either.

Thanks - I think that would be the source of the issue but mine is set to no.

I’m thinking it isn’t sonarr now as the place that nzbget dumps the tv shows initially is a folder sonarr doesn’t access. I rename the files and dump them to folders sonnar uses. Since the SRTs are in both locations, only plex uses both as far as I know. I’ll think about this some more but I appreciate the help!
