I have a qnap ts-451 and I’m trying the tv/dvr recording function for the first time (temporary plex pass) and I notice my cpu has been really high after recordings.
I know I have commercial skip activated, but the plex interface does not indicate a transcode or commercial skip function is running. Resource monitor in qnap says I am at 100% cpu and about 75% of that is using plex transcoder.
So why is this not showing up in the status section of the plex interface? Why is plex being sneaky about it?
Also, a side note, all of my tv recordings are being transcoded. I assume this is because of commercial skip, but the resulting files are taking forever to stream to other devices (like my Apple 4k). Why is that? Why can I not get a direct stream on these recordings?
