Is there a way to pin the left panel open?

In recent interface updates the web interface has defaulted the left panel to a thin bar of icons that opens on hover?

Is there a way to pin this open?
If I go to More there is the option <Pinned but it does not seem to do anything.

Cheers,
Bode.

click the top left 3 lines next to the plex logo

the more > pinned is for adding/removing libraries from the left side non-more screen.

you can add to pin local and even other shared libraries that you want to see all the time.

This should help, in addition to TJ’s comment:

OK. I may be being blind but I still don’t see an option to pin the sidebar open with icon and text rather than just icon only and show text on hover.
I understand about pinning different icons to the sidebar. I just want to pin it open.
This gives a consistant interface. rather than a bouncy sidebar.
Clicking more seems to stay extended but then displays Items I don’t need.

If this is not possible I could make it a feature request.

Cheers,
Bode.

This is what you’re looking for – and yes… it’s just the icon and the tooltip which shows when you hover over it… no text:

  1. before click…
    58

  2. after click…
    06

I cleared my cache and it does now seem to be sticking open.
Earlier it was closing again on navigation. There may have been a small CSS change in the last update and I still had the old one cached.
My bad. It’s usually my first goto after an update to clear temp and CTRL+F5.

The icon is slightly missleading though. Rather than a pin it is the, now universal, Show Options icon.

Clearing cache didn’t work for me. The Navigation bar won’t stay open in Chrome for Mac. Since several of my libraries have the same icon, I need to see the name of the library to select the correct one.
