Issue Deleting Duplicates

Firstly, I love Plex! My movie library alone is a little over 4,500 right now. I am however, now having a issue with my Plex.

I recently added an additional drive for movies and moved half of the database to the new drive. What I didn’t want to happen is to loose any of my changed cover art or my added collections data from my original drive - lets call this drive “A”.

-So, I started off by copying the data to the new drive - lets call this drive “B” (copied approximately 1300 movies, so I set this up over night)
-I added the new folder on drive “B” to my regular movie library
-I ran a new scan, which again took hours to complete
-I moved the original files out of the scanned folders on drive “A” (I didn’t want to delete them until I knew I had done everything correctly)
-I ran a new scan
-Ran the optimize database function
-Ran the clean bundles function
-Ran the empty trash function

The problem is that now all of the movies I copied to drive “B” are showing a duplicate (which has already been removed from drive “A” folders) and the only way I have found to remove it is to click the three dots, click get info and select to delete the one that is labeled “Unavailable”. This will take an insane amount of time to do, can anyone please advise a quicker method? I have also tried changing the setting to remove trash after scans. None of this has fixed the issue. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

‘Edit’ your movie library
go to the ‘Add Folders’ tab
verify that all folder paths in there

  • are still in existence
  • are accessible
  • are not completely empty

Wow - Thank you for the sound advice and the response time was excellent! (Issue was I had a empty folder referenced). This removed almost all of them (about 200 still were messed up) - I then selected all of the remaining - and told them to analyze, then optimize database, clean bundles and empty trash. That took care of the rest. Thank you again!
