this just started happening a couple weeks ago help please it goes away if i add another file for a show. There is only one file in the folder of that name not two.
Empty Trash, Clean Bundles, Optimize Database?
To prevent this from happening to new items in the future: Plex shows duplicates with identical paths and filenames
To remove the existing duplicates Plex Dance them
i only have library scan on not periodical doing the plex dance still doe not fix the issue it will happen when i add new files later…

As a test, disable ‘Automatic Library updates’ as well.
Then scan the library manually, when you are finsihed copying files.
would the subtitle file effect it also how do you clean bundles with the newer versions?
Cleaning bundles has nothing to do with subtitles.
And it has also nothing to do with the above issue.

Definitely not.
I just added some new movies and with the box unchecked it did not do the duplicate thing but still auto added the movies
