I have promoted Plex Pass for using multi user contolling feature, but there is some security issue on using in Android Plex App.
When normal user sign in with android plex app on a first time after installing app on mobile device, admin user account will be logged in.
I think user selection screen should be showned first in case of logging on android Plex app.
Please consider about my proposal.
Thanks
You log with admin because there are some settings you might want to change on the device. This is how it works for every platform I’ve used so far.
The only other way is if you invite a regular Plex user to your Plex Home and he/she will be logging with own credentials on device.
There idea of logging in is to verify that the device has access to the server. Otherwise anyone on your local network would see all the users and if one doesn’t have a pin, they could gain access. If you are connecting remotely, the login tells the app which server to OK for, otherwise how would it know who the appropriate users are.
If you don’t want to use your credentials, create another Plex.TV account as mentioned above, and share to that user. You can then log in with this account and then use the user pocket for the user you want without needing your credentials.
