Issue with Adding Multi-Disc TIDAL Albums to Music Library

I know this has been posted at least twice before. I found one of the threads, but I cannot seem to find the other.

If multi-disc album is added from TIDAL to local music library, the tracks are “scrambled.” They are listed correctly, but when played, they play the incorrect track.

I took the poster’s advice from the posted thread and added the tracks one by one. Even though the album appeared to be matched, I could tell some of the song metadata had not updated from MusicBrainz, so I fixed the match. Once the metadata had refreshed, I tested to see if it worked. The same issue remained.

I removed the album and tried adding the tracks individually again, but this time I didn’t fix the album match. Now the correct songs play.

So, it seems the issue may stem from when the album is matched after it’s added from TIDAL.

Let me know if more information is needed. This one should be easy to test and recreate.

EDIT: @Jason_D, just wanted to make you aware of this thread. Your previous thread about this issue has closed.

Thanks @Noah0504. Yeah this remains an odd and frustrating issue. I continue to get around it with the one track at a time workaround which is obviously less than ideal.

I haven’t noticed the metadata issue you mentioned but I’ll keep an eye out for it occurring.

Giving this thread a bump.

I have noticed recently that this issues appears to have been resolved itself. Have added several multi-disc albums from TIDAL in the last 2 weeks and the track order mix-up has not occurred.
