Issue with enabling remote access

Hello friends,

I am hoping someone can provide some insight to help me enable remote access on my Plex Media Servers. I simply cannot seem to get this working despite following instructions seen on other Plex articles (‘Remote Access’…‘Troubleshooting Remote Access’). Currently running two media servers 1) Windows 2) Nvidia Shield. My router is the Asus RT-AC68U. Steps taken so far:

*Disabled firewall (both router and windows)
*set up port forwarding for 32400
*toggled the UPnP function on the router

I’d start with getting one of them online and remotely connectable, before moving on to getting both online. Disabling the firewall shouldn’t be necessary. Upnp should be turned off.

I’d start with making sure that you aren’t double-nat’ed by your ISP (check the IP google reports is your public and verify this against what your router tells you is your WAN IP). If you aren’t double-NAT’ed I’d setup the port forward and then check with canyouseeme.org if that port forward has worked OK or not.

I seem to be having a similar issue which has only occurred since updating to 1.0.0.2261.

I have 1 server set up on a Mac Mini and one on a WD My Cloud EX4100. Both seemed to become unavailable remotely after updating from 0.9.16.6. The Remote Access section in settings was red on both.

I’ve managed to rollback the MM version using the advice someone else wrote on the forum, however I’ve been unable to find a version of this software to rollback the EX4100 since they removed the previous version from the site.

I should say, since rolling back on the MM, it seems to connect fine remotely.
