This is my first time setting up a Plex server, and I’m having some issues with remote access. I’ve tried all the steps in the troubleshooting, and can’t seem to figure out why it’s not working.
I toggled the UPnP on my router, but that didn’t work, so I turned it off and set a manual port forward to my Passport Wireless Pro which has a static IP address. (I should also mention that my ISP is worthless and couldn’t give me any helpful information.) When I enter the manually specified public port or hit retry on the remote access page, Plex will say that it’s fully accessible outside the network for about 5 seconds, and then it breaks. Any suggestions?
Ok now have newest Plex server software and still have remote issues.
I currently have 2 shields running latest PMS (2015 pro and 16gb) that will not connect remotely.
I have a Skull nuc running win10 PMS and that is working fine.
Same router, same ISP, same library, same everything except the server/s!

I’m having a similar problem, but only when my VPN is connected. When a port is specified and no VPN is running, the port forwarding on the router reacts correctly. Engage the VPN connection, which also has the same port open, and the network accessibility stays accessible for a minute or two, then breaks. Posting to follow for an answer to the OP, and hopefully glean further information for myself.
