got an issue with a plex media server installed on Synology since I swaped email accounts. Cannot claim the server and after plex media server reinstallation on Synology… seems there’s also a codec issue.
Server Version#: PlexMediaServer-1.18.2.2058-e67a4e892-x86_64.spk installed on Synology DS916+ with DSM 6.2.2.24922-4 exposing services on 192.168.xxx.xxx:32400/web/index.html
Player Version#:Web on windows 10 Edge or Samsung player 4.5.1
Did switch to new account (email address) because the new email address was the one linked to the yearly pass subscription.
Lost the server in the plex, did an uninstall of plex server and reinstall on Synology. Whatever the email account I used now, it keeps on telling me “No secure connection to server” “claim it”… When I press on “CLaim It”, it does not work. Tried to delete preference.xml and server PID. no change
While I see movies in the web client using the above URL , I cannot play them “required codec not found”. On the Samsung client, I don"t see any movies hosted on the Synology.
I’m kind of stuck now.
