I’m trying to install Plex and claim the server on my Synology DS1522+ but it fails to claim the server whether I try to do from the installer or after the fact inside Plex.
Synology logs don’t say much other than this:
Failed to repair package [Plex Media Server].
Any help would greatly appreciated.
Can you find the plex installer logs? or better yet the plex server logs
DSM 6 or 7 – Should be DSM 7
What is the LAN IP address of the Syno ?
Is it connected to the modem/router → Internet ?
It doesn’t take much to claim it.
The “New or Lost” servers option (Plex Claim Token method)
plus clicking then pasting the token from “Get Plex claim Token” into the box.
is all it takes. It will confirm with your Plex Username.
If it is empty.. then the Syno can’t get out to the internet to talk to plex.tv
The only limitation is the Claim Token expires after 5 minutes .. Don’t waste time.
