So I am having an issue with plex adding two different anime series into one and not even reckoning it as a second season. I followed all the Naming suggestions. Normally i have seen it come up as unmatched and I have no way to match it. This has happen on a few occasions but this is not even giving that to me. Is there any way to get around this?
If you have setup the files correctly, then the issue might be that the data in TMDB or TVDB (online services that Plex uses to match the content) aren’t correct. I have all kinds of issues with my daughter’s growing anime collection!
Firstly head to https://www.themoviedb.org (TMDB) & try to find what you are looking for. If it is showing up, just check that you are naming your files in the same way.
If the show doesn’t show up in TMDB, then you can tell Plex to try to look-up using https://www.thetvdb.com (TVDB). If you find the show here, check out the instructions on how to force Plex to use that source instead.

PS - If your series is missing from TMDB, then you are able to login to the site and add the details (I think).
Which two series is it?
Some series are represented differently in TMDB than TVDB. Plex uses the numbering system of TMDB by default, so if you are expecting it to be the series from TVDB you might have issues.
Do the Plex Dance on the files, and if it still doesn’t show up, use the tip Ozsmac posted about forcing Plex to match the folder automatically to the right show using the {tvdb-TVDB_ID_HERE} text at the end of the folder name.
Another thing to check is that you are properly targeting the correct folder for the library itself.
