Issue with upgrading library

Server Version#: 1.21.0.3744
Player Version#:

I am getting a notification to upgrade my library. When I click to upgrade I get a popup box that says “there was a problem upgrading the library” Any solutions?

Try manually setting both the scanner and agent to “Plex TV Series” in the library’s advanced settings:

If it allows you to save that, perform a “Refresh All Metadata” on the library so that metadata for your existing series is refreshed from the new agent.

Thanks for the suggestion I am not seeing those same drop-down menu items you showed.

Try making the changes via the web client at https://app.plex.tv.

Are you running DSM 7?

1.21.0.3744 is an early beta release and not fully compatible with the current version of DSM 7.

Download the current version from plex.tv and perform a manual update.

  1. Make sure you download the DSM 7 version of PMS.
  2. The current version will create a new shared folder, /PlexMediaServer, and move the Plex data folder to that location. The migration can take time depending on the amount of data to be moved (minutes for some, hours for others). Do not stop the process.

See DSM 7 - Packaging 2.0 (PMS 1.24.2.4973) - Release information for additional details.

Thanks for the info when I try to install the update it is asking for a specific file on my NAS

device ..which file do I point to?

The .spk file you downloaded from plex.tv.

Don’t unzip/uncompress or navigate into the .spk file. You want to upload the entire file to the NAS.

Thanks I have installed the update and followed the directions to give read/write access to all the folders that my plex media files are in but now I cannot connect to those files when bringing
