It appears that its anytime you're playing a video with a multichannel Dolby Digital track. This includes videos with an originating DTS track that PMS will transcode to Dolby Digital.
* 2 channel DD streams don't cause this problem (assuming because PMS doesn't bother transcoding to AC3 and uses AAC instead)
* Turning off DD on the apple tv will at least get you your pause and seeking back
This problem only only exists when using HDMI for audio out. Use an optical cable and the problem doesn't present itself.

This is happening to me and I'm using optical cable. this wasn't an issue before the big update.
i am debating weather to upgrade or not, what would your recomendation be? currently using apple tv in my bedroom with only stereo tv speakers, so DD is not needed i guess

I just started a movie a fell asleep watching last night. It had seeking when I played it lay night, but this time it didn’t. I just don’t understand this issue.
It’s clearly a DD thing, because turning it off gave me seeking back. But it’s still intermittent with the optical cable, because I could seek last night.
Honestly, I didn't read through all those MBytes... but a quick check at some seemingly interesting points did not reveal anything.
Questions:
- once you get the "trailers unavailable" message at the end of watching, what do you have to do to fix it again? Just pressing MENU once? Pressing MENU often to restart from the main aTV screen? Shutdown and Restart PlexConnect?
- Are both issues "connected". Ie. does the "trailers unavailable" only show up when you start with a white progress bar?

I have not played with DD setting at all. I did try to change SUb setting in ATV and that did help , turned it off and then again tested with turned it to Auto.
So Nothing to do with Audio as far as I can tell.

Well it does not happen always. It says "An Error occurred loading this content" once i get that at very end, I press Menu and come back to previous screen from where I played the video, And has to do absolutely nothing and can play next video and it might , it might not give me any error.
Both issues are not connected in sense that if I get normal seek bar and can seek without any issue still at end I might see the error. and with seek bar issue , i mean with it being white , it might play till end without giving error.

Error at the end of a show has been getting errors lately and consistently. Ios6 has been such a problem any way I can downgrade?
I'm having errors at the end of a show or movie as well if I have Enable Dolby Digital on AppleTV setting in the Transcoder section of Plex. It will get to around 40 seconds or so before the end of a show and kick up "An error occurred loading this content. Try again later." Funny thing is it does not happen if I airplay from an ios device which still somehow keeps the 5.1 surround working.
I notice that the buffer bar on the AppleTV will go from around 90% to 100% immediately just before the end of a show indicating that something is not streaming properly. This only happens with shows that are 5.1. Doesn't matter if it's DTS that's being transcoded or AC3 5.1 direct play.
If I disable the "Enable Dolby Digital on AppleTV setting" in plex, everything works but in Stereo.
Forgot to mention...I've been seeing the same "An error occurred loading this content. Try again later." issue on occasion on other channels on my ATV3. ESPN and Netflix to be exact. Had never seen it before then. Wouldn't think it's related, but you never know...
I thought after reading the changelog it has been fixed. Ive just upgraded to the latest branch and I do still have the searchbar bug when viewing an episode
