So is it actually fixed or not? I see mixed reviews on it. If it’s fixed then it is worth upgrading to 0988 despite the crashes due to photo library scanning mentioned elsewhere.

you need plex pass in order to download and install PMS 9.8.8...seek bar problem is still there tho
Hi everyone,
I have a aTV3 (latest firmware) and am running the latest version of PlexConnect on my MacMini.
I can play my movies from the Trailers app, but when I watch MKV movies, I can not pause the movie with the Apple Remote, or fast forward. The only thing that works is to click the Menu button to pause and choose again for "Resume Play" to watch it again.
It also seems the bar at the bottom of the screen does not move so you can not see where in the movie you are.
Am I the only one having this issue or do other people have this as well?
If so, is there a solution to this?

progress bar: iOS 6 issue... it's reported that it might take two or three movie restarts to bring back the normal behavior. Then pause/forward/rewind is supposed to work as well.
I really don't see, how PlexConnect can affect this - maybe PMS, if it doesn't transcode "correctly" (whatever that means). Is your PMS up to date?
Yes, all components (aTV, PlexConnect, PMS) are up to date as far as I know. PMS is version 0.9.8.6.
I don't experience these problems when I - for instance - watch movies/series on Netflix on the aTV.

I still see the fullbar problem (the one that prevents seeking, pause), and still only with DD audio.
Hmm because this appears to be an iOS7/PMS issue, as iPhone/iPad users have the same issue.
PMS was updated with fixes especially for the iOS7 player.

Elan makes a distinction between iOS and the aTV OS, it seems. For me, with the aTV OS, I only have the problem when receiving DD audio. This makes the problem different from any problem experienced on iPhone or iPad.

In PMS, Settings, Transcoder, I have ticked "Enable Dolby Digital on Apple TV". (Always.)
On the aTV, I toggle Apple's Settings, Audio&Video, Dolby Digital between On and Off, depending on whether I want surround sound or the ability to pause.
... Audio Output is set to Auto. (Always.)
... Audio Language is set to English. (Always.)
The aTV is connected to a receiver with HDMI.
It's clearly a Dolby issue, if I uncheck the Enable Dolby Digital on the aTV I have a seek bar and when DD is checked no seek bar.
I hope there is a update coming soon.
I have not resolved the issue at end of some tv show episodes which is 1 min or 40-50 secs before file runtime ends it stops playing file and given error. has someone else resolved that? Also in between tv shows where there is a commercial break and if break has been cut out , it loses audio and comes back after a while or if media is restarted.

Ah you need Plex Media Server 0.9.8.12 (PlexPass only) - guess you need to wait a week or two.
