Within the last few months I’ve been having issues playing video files without them stopping, multiple times. It doesn’t seem to matter the format. I’ll start playing the video at original quality and it will play for a while, then it will stop, hang at the 33% buffering and if I don’t do anything it will time out and give me the “Your connection to the server was not fast enough, try lowering the speed and try again” message. I’m using a Roku hardwired to my network so connection is not an issue from the player. The bandwidth on my Synology is normal average 8Mbps for a 1080p video. When it does stop I have been able to get the video to continue by skipping ahead 1-2minutes and everything works fine for a while. The strange thing is that the preview image for the fast forward stays the same as when it stopped. This image stays like that for 5-10 on the timeline then goes back to normal. If I step backward and let it play it will stop at the same point in the video. It will happen multiple times through-out a video, usually sometime early in the video and then again around mid-point and then near the end, doesn’t care how long the video actually is. I don’t seem to have this issue while watching through web-player on the same network, but I have seen this issue while watching remotely.
