Anyone able to successfully fast forward multiple times through a TV show that is still recording? Like trying to skip ahead 30 seconds at a time multiple times like you would be doing to skip through 6-8 commercials.
While a TV show is recording, I am having all kinds of issues trying to watch is from the start.
Tried recording a 3 hour football game and after it was an hour into the game, tried to watch the show from the start. The file first started playing at the start of the show, but when I tried to fast forward through the first 5 minutes of commercials, the file would just hang up with the spinning wheel. I would get out of the player and try it again, but then after I could never get the show to start from the begging - it would only then start from where the show currently was recording (live tv).
Tried again today one a 30 minutes show. As last time, i was able to start at the begging and was able to start skipping a head by 30 seconds. After a couple of Fast Forward, then the skip forward 30 seconds option would just be grayed out. After a couple of minutes, it would come back to being active. Going forward or reverse is usually stops.
Very frustrating when Windows Media Center on a computer 10 years older than what I am running now handled all of this flawlessly and instantaneously. Even when it works to fast forward, it is never instant like WMC where you see the scrolling wheel turn for a few seconds before you would see where you are at.
Is anyone able to get this to work correctly? Fast forwarding and reverse a show that is already done works fine (still very slow to step forward or back before the show starts playing again.
Same behavior on iOS, Roku or FireTV.
