Issues with latest 32" LG with WebOS 4

This TV still runs on a much older version of the Plex client - 3.13.27 which will not update to the newer interface. I have real issues with this for the following reasons:

  1. The interface is very different to the latest version, e.g. LG B7, Windows and Android

  2. Although this TV is capable of playing HEVC files, Plex always transcodes these to X264, even though Xplay works correctly

  3. It is far awkward to automatically play the next video. This is automatic in the new clients and Xplay

When I raised issues with this client some time ago, I was informed that support for this type of TV was not important to Plex as it was not a 4K tv and there may be performance issues. Since this is the latest 32" set that LG produce, this is a very poor excuse, and as a very long term Plex Pass holder, I would expect a little more help with these.

I will restate that Xplay works very well with this TV, with no noticeable performance issues.
