Issues with „more ways to watch“ hub not showing on local library

I have all those conditions met and still no More Ways to Watch.

Are you sure you’re seeing this on a library item? Does it show with the media info?

How did you find out what the conditions should be?

@plexgio @nickydd9 Can you both share what you see when you visit https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/online-media-sources?

@nickydd9 @plexgio Can you navigate to a video item (Movie, Show, Season, Episode) that should be displaying this new More Ways to Watch hub and select the context menu action ... and see if you are seeing the More Ways to Watch action there?

Not seeing that in the menu:

I’ll mention as well that up until now I have only been testing in Plex Web. Just for the sake of testing I installed Plex for Windows to see if that would make a difference but I have the same behavior with More Ways to Watch not being displayed under local library items.

Still only displayed when viewed from Watchlist as it always has.

Can you select the Get Info option then select the View XML. Can you copy the contents there and DM it to me?

@nickydd9 or @plexgio Last thing to try, if you’re up for it, is to use the Restore Defaults button in https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/web/debug.

@Atomatth I pressed Restore Defaults and logged out and back in but still no change.

@Atomatth any other suggestions?

Not really. I have a kitchen sink I could offer you.

  • Sign out then sign back in
    • Refresh the browser and try again
  • Reset Defaults
    • Web settings > (Show Advanced) Debug > Reset Defaults
    • Refresh the browser and try again
  • Enable Library option “Include Adult Content”
    • Sign out then sign back in
    • Disable Library option “Include Adult Content”
    • Sign out then sign back in
    • Refresh the browser and try again

In the web browser open your browser’s dev/inspect tool (CTRL+SHIFT+I). With the tool open, select the Network tab. Navigate to any movie or show where you are seeing the issue. Back to the dev tool and Network tab you should see some option to Download or Save all to a HAR file. Select that and download the HAR file. DM me the HAR file.

I’ve moved this into a separate troubleshooting thread, to keep it alive (if needed) while closing the feature suggestion as implemented.
