Issues with Plex and DSM 7.0 (I know another one :-\)

So i upgraded to DSM 7.0 over the weekend. I am running a Synology 1821+. When I upgraded to 7.0, I did the repair option which now after some digging, I find out I shouldnt have done and thats what has borked everything. Ive managed to get the data migrated from Plex to PlexMediaServer

When I try to play something in plex I get the following error: image

When I go into the DSM Control Panel and look at PlexMediaServer folder, it shows this

I have edited the PlexMediaServerfolders permissions under System Internal User for Read/Write access and applied it to All (This folder, Child Folders, Child files, All descendants) and i still get the error message about it being properly mounted.

I have done the erase option to remove plex and reinstalled it and that is how i managed to get it migrated from ‘Plex’ to ‘PlexMediaServer.’

Anyone have any suggestions so I can get my media server back online?

Make sure the PlexMediaServer user has at least read access to your media folders. It will need R/W if you have optimized versions, use Live TV & DVR, etc.

It has full read/write permissions.

Oh my god, this did it. I cant believe it was that simple. I applied the r/w permissions to my media folder for plex and hit save and it instantly worked. I can view it on my phone and through a web browser.
