I have an interesting issue where my family that has spectrum internet can only get an “indirect connection.” This is something recent, within the last few weeks.
I’ve tested this to where everyone not on Spectrum can attain a direct connection, I can even attain a direct connection hot-spotting off my cellphone 5G. It doesn’t seem to be on my end/server’s end.
I’ve read sporadically that adjusting the DNS settings for the spectrum folks might help - certainly I can try that with family … but may be a stretch to accomplish with others. My internet DNS settings are set to 1.1.1.1/8.8.8.8 and I’m using all Ubiquiti/Unifi gear.
Just checking to see if that’s a likely and known fix or if there’s something else, super strange.
