I’m running a Plex Media Server on an Nvidia Shield. I also have the Plex app in my Android-phones and on my Android-TV.
I have been using this setup for a while, but only until recently started using the “cast” from lets say phone app to TV client, or from browser app to TV client. The problem is that the first time I connect to the TV client from another client, and go to a movie or show it shows the preplay screen with info, soundtrack etc. I then can switch around to different items and the preplac screen changes, however everytime I tri to start playing anything and then either press stop or watch it to the end the preplay screen stops working permanently. (when going to other library items) . It doesnt seem to matter which library item I try this on neither from which client, it seem to happen every time.
The only solution seem to be to restart the client on the TV, it doesn’t help to disconnect and reconnect. Then its showing the preplay screen again until next play…
So I dont get any errors anywhere, it just stops changing the preplay screen.
I’ve also just tried the same steps from the same clients but towards the built-in Google cast feature of the TV, and then that preplac screen works as it should.
Just tested on the Shield app to, same issue,so this seem to be a Android-plexapp issue.
So I guess this is a BUG with the client somhow?
