Hi all, been a long time plex user but come across some anoying problems (Havn’t we all!)
Philips HD TV, Amazon firestick. For the most part the system functions, seemingly with 1080p and lower quality media. Right now, 4K stuff wont play, media with AC3 or 7.1 wont play. Many times I have to change settings on the Amazon plex app to not use new player to get any output.
Surely the whole point is plex must transcode if hardware is not up to much.
A new Jellyfin install with no tweaking, plays all media types, everything that plex fails on with no issues .
How can I force a transcode or force plex to recognise the firestick limitations and then transcode?
