The invite came from a gmail account and it’s not someone I personally know. Had to be from someone on these boards. I don’t know who it is, so did not accept the invite. Rather than list the name in open threads I would prefer to PM it to a Ninja or employee to investigate the individual.
I’ve notified the support staff about this thread, they’ll be in contact shortly (when they wake up
)
Same here but I deleted it.
This happens from time to time.
Some Plex users are quite ‘promiscuous’ and are trying to to extend their collection of media this way.
Needless to say that this behaviour is unwelcome, because it might be considered no ‘fair use’ anymore - which then constitutes a violation of the Plex Terms and Conditions.
Next time, just delete the invitation.
I strongly recommend ignoring such invites. (I received one this AM as well.) They seem to me like someone trying to produce some “obligation” to facilitate some scam. Although I am not sure exactly how the scam might work.
People sending such invites might actually be Nigerian Princes.
I’m no nigerian prince. However, i thought sending invites would be the best way to get in contact with people and see what other people watch. Don’t you think its interesting to go through someone else’s movie collection? You feel like you are learning about that person, it’s fun. Anyways, sorry i caused trouble. Hope you all can forgive me. Have a nice day. =)
