This drives me insane but I would like to have a CHECKMARK option to Keep Original Movie and or Series title.
I do get the information in FRENCH in the description but I would like to keep the original title. Why? Simple, it’s hard to find a movie when the title is translated.
I do not know if this is a bug or what, but around 25% of my movies title are translated, the other 75% are kept in english.
Sincerly, I do not know what I would do with chinese movies but hey… do not know what to say!

Mod-Edit: given this is already implemented for movies in general (using current generation Plex Movie agent; see below), I’ve adjusted the thread title to reflect this is still missing for automatically created collections
For the new Plex Movie agent this should do that.
We are working on a new TV agent and though I can’t make any promises I will pass it along.

When you do the Upgrade Matching to convert library to new agent it should update any unlocked fields (things you have not already manually edited)
[edit] Just realized you won’t have the option to use orig titles until you upgrade. I will ask the devs if it will after a refreshing metadata
[edit edit] was told refreshing metadata for library should update to use orig titles for everything after changing setting

Just by curiosity, how do I know if I am running already version 1.20.1 of this agent?

Just followed your procedure and everything is working as a charm, like always. New movie agent is
– Way faster; (I have more than 5000 movies. I know what I am talking about)
– Better scraping information; (Got more metadata information)
– Better hit with finding movies.
Would be really nice to get the same for the SERIES.
Please note, and this is minor that Collection does the same thing, it translates the TITLE. Even when I refresh the metadata, it doesn’t put the original title.
Would be nice to have the Original Title when refreshing the metadata.

I have 624 collections and more than 200 of them where translated…
More likely, a nice to have would be to be able to sort the COLLECTIONS same thing as the films and or series.
