Kernel update

Hi,

 

I would like to use external DAC with Rasplex. I've read there are some modeles missing from the kernel. I've tried to replace the kernel to the latest openelec 5.0.  but it wasn't succesfull.

Can you help me how you build the kernel? Or why the simple kernel replace wont't work?
