Lag when using LG SmartTV

I’m experiencing lag from the played Plex movies om ny LG Smarttv (both through native app and through chromecast), but not when using my mobile phone or the PC browser itself.

What to do?

Can you explain further please? By lag are you talking about loading times or is your content not playing correctly. LG TV use WebOS, as Web indicates the app is not present on the TV, what you install is a loader only.

This maybe your issue.

DNS of TV: Change to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8

Avoid WiFi connection as they can be troublesome

Hm, actually it turns out that;

  1. Movies works on both host (pc) & iOS phone
  2. Some (perhaps 70%) movies works when to/via LG tv

Very strange… the files themselves seems to be fine and working
