Bit of an oddity I’m having with playback locally on my lan.
I have a basic setup of a Win10 PC running Plex Server with a couple of SSDs installed containing my media. This is hardwired to my router
I’ve recently noticed that when I playback using a Firestick 4k, (my video content is primarily 1080 .264 and 720 .264), video either pauses (with audio continuing) or stops completely and i have to resume the video. On a standard 1.5hr movie, I’m hitting the failure/resume about 20 times. More often than not, a resume will play the movie from the start in which case I just give up. The Firestick is wireless connected to my Router which is about 4ft away.
If i play content wirelessly via my iPad or laptop (web frontend), no issues at all.
I have a friend with a plex server, i connect to this also via the same Firestick (mainly 720 .264 video files) and have zero issues with playback on the same Firestick.
