Video keeps stopping

Hi all,

Not sure if this is the right place to put this but I am having issues and am at the point of giving up with Plex. When I am watching plex videos on my Firestick it plays ok for 5 to 15 minutes and then gives a message saying:

Playback has stopped because the connection to the Plex Media Server has been lost. Please ensure the server is available and retry.

If I then press retry it loads into the video but I will have another message within the next 5 to 15 minutes.

So a little bit about my setup, I am currently running the plex server on my laptop inside a Hyper V virtual Machine that is running CentOS. I do plan on moving to a better setup but am hesitant to spend the money when I am having these problems currently. I have multiple TV’s around the house using Firesticks to watch multiple apps including the Plex. There is two routers on my network. The first router has internet connection coming in, DHCP is on as is UPnP and is broadcasting WiFi. There is a Cat6 cable connecting to the second router. Which has DHCP and UPnP turned off but is broadcasting a separate SSID. The second router is the one my laptop is normally connected to.

I have checked and there is no transcoding happening and everything is definitely direct play. Has anybody had a similar issue and any clue how to solve it.

Thanks In Advance

Anybody got any ideas? Also just to add incase this helps suggest what is wrong. Sometimes when I go into a TV Series and load up an episode it jumps to the end (never watched before) and then starts the next episode.

Thanks again.

Nobody got any solutions or even advice? If I can’t get this working then I don’t really think it will be suitable in the long run.
