Please could you help me make the best thing ever… Plex… slightly better.
I’m having trouble with the audio scanners not finding files on my server. For example…
The screen shots attached show the FTP server where my audio album sits. It has tracks 1 to 10 from CD 1.
The second screen shot shows plex media server’s results from a scan. It fetches the data for most of the tracks but tracks 2 5 and 9 are missing.
They are 100% in the same directory as the others and 100% have the same embedded tags (however i have asked the scanner not to use embedded tages). I have also asked it to use them and it comes up with the same result.
During testing i refreshed the whole directory, didnt work… refreshed just that album, didnt work. Removed the album from the server and updated… then added back in… didnt work… Used the personal artist scanner… didnt work.
however During testing i added a duplicate music director and ask it to run the scan again and it found them this time. Weird! This however means i have to start again and doesnt really get to the root of the problem.
The whole testing thing seems very inconsistant if i’m honest.
can anyone shine a light on this for me?
