Last update broke the PLEX server

Server Version#: 4.1.18
Player Version#:1.18.6.2368
Plex server won’t start after latest update. In the server settings is shown as running but it is not accessible using the the server URL.

If i reinstall the package it runs for some time but then stops and the only way to get it back is to reinstall the package again.

This is only happening from the last update, is there anyway to restore the old version?

same problem please help

Same here - won’t even start for me after the update to 1.18.6.2368 on Terramaster F4-210

Irony is that the release notes stated that the release includes a fix for some users that couldn’t start Plex…

Oh well - rebuilding server on PC for now…

Me ocurre igual. Desde la última actualizacción. Sólo aparece la biblioteca un momento y después aparece mensaje de error. Y me pide consultar el foro!

I also have this problem.
After installing Plex Server 1.18.8.2527
My Nvidia Shield TV lost connection to the server

I’m having same issue. Hope they fix it soon.

Yeah, me too. F2-221 here.
Must be across all Terramaster devices.

Not necessarily. I am running PMS 1.18.6.2368 with no problems. I’m using a F2-220 NAS.

Hmmmmm… Did you upgrade from previous version, or install clean?

Updated from the previous version. I am also using the latest TOS 4.1.21.

Updating to .21 fixed it
Didn’t realise there was an update! Auto update didn’t pick it up.

Happy you got everything working. As far as the TOS update notifications goes, I was told in a previous thread by a user that Terra-Master is no longer notifying us via TOS that an update is available. Don’t know why but I just check the Terra-Master website about every two months to see if anything is new.

I can conirm upgrading to 4.1.21 seems to fix the Plex service. About the terramster upgrade And in general software system i agree is the worst i’ve seen in very long time.

upgrades online do not work, you need to download the the file and upgrade manually. After that the Plex service seems to work fine.

Upgrades on-line do work. That is how I upgraded my F2-220 to the latest available TOS.

As far as the quality of the TOS software goes I can’t comment on that since this is the firsy commercial NAS that I have used. For my purposes (acting as a Plex Media Server for a number of friends across the country) it performs very well.

Well in case of an F5-221 it does not update online, it did not detect neither install the firmware update using the settings page.

Plex works fine in this NAS the hardware decoding with plex pass is a plus a this price range but only when you can get it to work. Most updates up to this one has required to reinstall the app and rescan the library and takes forever to perform an installation or an upgrade.

It does not update on background, you need to leave the Plex updating window open or you risk messing up the installation and having to reinstall Plex from scratch (i mean it will detect a new server and you need to reconfigure everything) .

There are many quirks i don’t find compelling in this NAS which requires an actual systems engineer to work around or fix them.

F4-220
Last update, messed up my system too. Now all connected android players don’t function. Server wont reset correctly, now no longer fit for purpose. Even have difficulty signing in to use web app .

Where do i get the .21 update. Computer dumb here, just need direction.

Hello. I don’t know what happen today but the Plex server (1.18.8.2527) in NAS F2-421 with TOS (4.1.21.2003031748) is closed always. When I try to start the server, it starts for a seconds but after this stopped and I don’t know why. I did everyting, uninstall plex, close TNas, everything. Please, any help?
Thanks

Updating to 4.1.21. did not fix the issue on F4-220.
