I have Plex server running on my Qnap nas, and my client is an LG Smart TV with webos 3.8. I have myself as the primary Plex paid account holder, and my account is setup with a PIN to access it. I have 3 of my other family members setup as home users (they do not have their own plex accounts).
In one of the recent plex for LG updates, my Plex player on my LG smart tv started making me pick a home user each time i open the Plex app on the smart tv. Prior to this version, it would just use whatever home user i had selected previously each time i go in. Was this an “enhancement”? it is very annoying to have to pick the user each time.
I the settings of the app do you have auto sign in enabled?
It should be in Settings>Main>Automatically sign in
I’m getting similar issues. About 2 weeks ago, it was making me go to the Link page every time we tried switching users. That stopped about a week ago. Now, it’s making us put a pin in every time it comes out of the screensaver. Auto login is checked. I’ve quit the app and restarted the tv several times. It’s also going through the “startup” where I have to customize the side bar almost every time. Even when it’s not asking to re-link before.
