Latest Plex unable to scan specfic TV show from TheTVDB

I’ve been using Plex a while and haven’t had any issues with it scanning TheTVDB for show metadat/etc.

But I recently found my ‘TableTop (2012)’ DVDs and wanted to scan them in.

I have them in the standard format for shows -

Folder: /volume1/Plex/Library/television/TableTop (2012)/
Directories “Season 1”, “Season 2”, Specials

Season 1 files -
‘TableTop s01e01 - Small World.m4v’
‘TableTop s01e02 - Settlers of Catan.m4v’
‘TableTop s01e03 - Zombie Dice, Get Bit! & Tsuro.m4v’

It doesn’t appear that they can get scanned from The TVdb (and the show is there - TableTop - TheTVDB.com )

Is there anything that I can other than copy-pasting the data myself?

What agent are you using? If it’s the Plex Series agent, make sure the episode ordering for the show (or library) is set to TVDB (Edit show > Advanced > Episode ordering > TheTVDB (Aired)), as it doesn’t look like TMDB has an entry for that series.

they are m4v files so if you have prefer local metadata enabled and something else is embedded as title it might be picking that up

I’m using the Synology Plex install (latest released version) not the Please Series Agent.

Mine client has - Airing Order, DVD Order, Absolute Numbering as the choices.

But looking in the “Main” grouping and advanced options…

It has “Agent” the default was set to “Personal Media Shows”… I’ve changed it to “TheTVDB”

The Plex Series agent is just another agent like “Personal Media Shows” and “TheTVDB”, not a separate application. Along the same lines, TheTVDB agent is a legacy agent that will likely go away at some point in the future, so it’s probably better to use the Plex Series agent instead, setting the episode ordering to TVDB:
