Plex Series scanner doesn't pick up TV show, why?

Specifically, the TV special titled “Building Star Trek” is not picked up by the plex agent scanner, and there is (now) no way to select a different scanning agent. The tvdb code is 64785 and the tmdb code is 414260 but using the braces in filename and/or directory name still doesn’t get the plex agent scanner to work properly. It is a television show and needs to be listed in the TV Shows section of my plex database. How can I force it to find this show? Of all the things in Plex, the scanner is the most frustrating…there needs to be a way for the user to override some of this “automation” in the server.

It is because TVDB is classifying it as a movie (and my guess is so is the MovieDB).

Even IMDB classifies it as a movie (albeit a TV movie, but that is still considered a movie for Plex)

Your option is probably to filter on “Unmatched” in your TV library and you should see that movie. You can then possibly manually fill out the metadata and it might show up, but I have never done or tried that so that is just a guess.
